Concessions

With concessions, the Ministry of Culture allows public and private parties to use and enhance public cultural assets, for purposes compatible with their protection and cultural use.

What it includes

This section includes:

  • the concession of use of cultural assets;
  • the concession or lease of properties of cultural interest, for enhancement purposes.

Who it is for

Public or private parties (individuals, associations, foundations, entities or businesses) and economic operators who intend to use or enhance a public asset.

How it works

Log in to the portal

Log in to the portal with your digital identity: SPID, CIE, CNS or eIDAS (for EU citizens). Non-EU citizens without a digital identity can register on the portal with an e-mail and password and log in with the credentials they create.

Choose the procedure

Select the procedure you need from those available.

Fill and attach

Complete the guided application and attach the required documents; you can save a draft and resume later.

Submit and track

Submit the application: you receive a protocol number and a confirmation. Track its status from your personal area, with notifications at every update.

Outcomes

You receive a concession or lease measure, granted on condition that the protection and enhancement of the asset are guaranteed. For properties, an enhancement and public-use project is required.

Payments, if any

Some procedures require the payment of fees, taxes or duties. Where required, you can pay online securely through PagoPA.
